HFT Returns to China
with Multiple Float Lines
CAG
HFT signed several turnkey float glass project contracts with AVIC (Hainan) Special Glass Materials Co., Ltd. (CAG), of China. These projects include building a new 600 MTPD Oxy-Fuel float glass and CVD Low-E glass line in addition to restoring and upgrading two existing float glass lines to manufacture premium, ultra-clear float glass and TCO glass. All projects are under PPG license and will take advantage of PPG latest technologies. The plant is located in Hainan, China. The two upgraded float glass lines had been successfully started up in June 2010 and January 2011 respectively. The Oxy-Fuel line will be started up later in 2011.
HFT signed a contract with Beijing Jinjing Wisdom Solar Materials Co., Ltd., China for a 600 MTPD Oxy-Fuel Float Glass production line. This project is also under PPG license and will take advantage of PPG latest technologies. The production line is expected to heat up in the first quarter of 2012. The project location is in Beijing, China.
