AVIC Hainan Float Glass Projects
Owner: AVIC
Project Value: $100 Million
Delivery Method: GMP Contract
Hainan, China
HFT provided comprehensive engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for two major float glass projects for AVIC in Hainan, China: the redesign of an existing 600 MTPD regenerative furnace, bath and lehr, and the design and implementation of a new greenfield 600 TPD oxy-fuel float glass line.
Engineering for both projects began in November 2009. The redesigned furnace successfully entered production in February 2011, followed by glass production from the new greenfield float line in November 2011.
HFT supported the projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including project management, scheduling, detailed engineering, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, start-up and process operations training and support.
