HFT’s engineering, procurement and construction teams executed an EPCM contract for two new greenfield 600 TPD regenerative float glass lines for SGG in China. Engineering for both lines began in February 2003, with glass production commencing on the first line in November 2004 and the second in July 2005.
HFT supported the projects throughout the full project lifecycle, providing project management, scheduling, detailed engineering, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, start-up and process operations training and support.
Scope of Services
Engineering + Design
Detailed engineering for both greenfield float glass lines, including building architectural drawings, review of client building designs, batch storage and mixing, furnace and bath systems, annealing lehr, cutting line, electrical infrastructure and furnace environmental systems.
Program Management + Planning
Project management and scheduling across both float glass lines, along with permitting assistance and coordination with the client and local utility companies to support fuel and electrical requirements.
Procurement
Procurement supporting the EPCM delivery of two new 600 TPD regenerative float glass production lines.
Construction
Construction supervision supporting implementation of the batch, furnace, bath, annealing lehr, cutting line, electrical and environmental systems for both greenfield float glass lines.
Technical Services + Support
Commissioning of HFT-installed equipment, furnace, bath and lehr heat-up support, start-up, and process operations training and support for batch mixing, furnace, bath, lehr and cutting line operations.
