HFT provided comprehensive electrical construction services for a greenfield glass manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The ground-up development supports the production of glass containers and bottles for the consumer market.
HFT’s work included installation of power, controls and communication systems supporting the facility’s vertical batch system and glass melting process. The project required coordination across a complex, multi-level production environment to support reliable and efficient plant operations.
Scope of Services
Program Management + Planning
Comprehensive project oversight, coordination and stakeholder management from planning through commissioning. HFT also provided detailed constructability reviews, interference checks and scheduling coordination, along with early works packages to advance key milestones and reduce execution risks.
Construction
Electrical construction included complete power, control, instrumentation and communication installations for a vertical batch weighing, mixing and delivery system extending more than 200 feet in elevation.
HFT also completed electrical installations supporting the melting furnace, oxygen/natural gas combustion systems, water processing facilities, exhaust gas treatment and material processing equipment.
The scope also included installation and rigging of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, electrical substations and control system equipment positioned throughout the elevated process structure. Project Lightyear (1)
Technical Services + Support
HFT coordinated closely with the owner’s engineering teams to integrate equipment installations across multiple elevations and support seamless system functionality throughout the vertical production process, with project management continuing through commissioning.
